No Ball is going to LAL and hopefully that shuts Lavar up.

Bulls unless they can land a top FA (they do have the cap space) have about tapped out their potential with this roster since they don't have any young guys (outside of Portis) really having an impact and who could develop in Butler timeline. Therefore, I think they need to highly consider dealing Butler. This return isn't bad but I think Bulls could do better. Ideally it would be #2 + Russell/ Ingram (could tack on Deng or Mozgovs contract too) . Randle although young needs to really expand his game (either defensively or shooting) if he is going to have an impact in this league and Clarkson is solid. If I'm just getting them I wouldn't take back Deng's contract.

I think Lakers would be better off getting local guy in George instead of Butler. Based off their contract situations I'd imagine George would have lower trade value. Don't love Griffin signing due to his injury history which has sapped some of his athleticism but he is still a superstar caliber player that would be hard to get elsewhere.

Unfortunately Lavar has 2 more sons so he will be flapping his yap for several more years.

If I'm Chicago, I want the #2, Russell and Clarkson. I'd take the framework of your trade, and swap out Deng and Randle for Mozgov and Russell. To make the financials work, swap Rondo and MCW. In that scenario, I don't sign Griffin (and they shouldn't anyway) and I shoot for George a year from now in free agency. Why pull a Knicks and trade away your entire supporting cast to land the star who wants to sign there anyway?

LAL
Rondo/ Ennis
Butler/ Young
Ingram/ Deng/ Brewer
Randle/ Nance
Black/ Zubac

You get one more year of development from Ingram, Randle and Zubac, and decide who to move when George comes to town.

As for Chicago, they'd get two kids to get the rebuild going. All the previous posters are right. they aren't going anywhere with that crew.

On a personal note, I was really hoping that Minny or some team like that wound up at number two and took Ball, while also depriving LA of a pick at all, but since that didn't happen, I'd love for Ball to wind up somewhere that would royally PO his father.
