If the Celtics are going to go after Noel, they might as well make it worth it for the Mavs. Morris doesn't help them now. They need to be getting younger and building around Smith. Luckily, the Celtics not only have draft equity, but the exception from the Hayward injury that would fit Noel right in. They could shed Noel's entire salary while getting a late first rounder (possibly plus) in return.

@soxfan noel’s value is super low, he is almost certainly leaving this summer and he isn't even playing in dallas rn. they don't have the leverage to get picks off boston.

The 76ers got a 2nd for him and his value is even lower now.
