Interesting idea. If Boston moves Hayward it will be a salary dump. Indy might be able to swap 22 for 18 and future 2nd to get him. I think Hayward still has some good years ahead of him, and I would love to see him in Indy.

Celts want to dump salary.

Pacers get: Hayward and #14 pick.
Celtics get: McDermott and future 2nd round pick.

Without something close to that, Pacers would be crazy to take on that contract.

The Pacers have $44mm in cap space, but after signing Bojan Bogdanovich, they'll have $24mm. And that's to sign 6 players, so they can't afford to take on salary.
