Already posted this in the wrong place as I'm an idiot.

Celtics rebuild

Option 1

Renounce all free agents.

Langford, next years 1st, Yabusele, and next year's Bucks 1st if necessary for Sexton.

With about 35 mil in cap space sign Bryant and Portis.

Option 2

Renounce all free agents.

Same package above I was using for Sexton except use it for Sabonis.

Sign DLo

Should leave about 8 mil in cap space.

Option 3

Trade for Sabonis
Sign Portis
Resign Rozier
Should leave about 8 mil in cap space.

You guys know better than I do. Does any of this make sense?

It makes some sense and as a Cavs fan, it’d be interesting to see Sexton with Stevens. That said, the Celtics are probably better off trying to keep Rozier and going after a more established player. I guess Sabonis makes some sense and they seem fairly dead set on a center. Maybe, they’ll go after some in free agency first though.

You over estimated the available salary cap space by $6 mil (cap holds for G. Williams and the extra salary taken on by adding Sexton or Sabonis.

Just curious how much you are signing Portis for so Washington does not match?

I believe Yabusele combined with Langford makes more than Sabonis or Sexton. If so, don't they have about 35 mil after a trade like that?

I'm guessing Portis 4/ 70, Bryant 4/ 56?

Washington is in cap hell as far as I know.

I do not want Vucevic. He is a paper tiger that'll eat most of their cap space.

They will be too depleted if they traded Smart, Brown, and the Memphis pick for Beal.

They already have Clint Capela on the roster and his name is Rob Williams. I'm not hyping Williams but I'm saying with 3 to 4 years maturity and experience, they are the same player and that's not saying much. Capela greatly benefits from playing with Harden and Paul. He does not fit on the Celtics. It wouldn't be a disaster, but again, they can't afford to ship that much out.

Fredman- if wizards match aren't they a losing team in luxury? Is Portia worth that?

Agree Shiller. That is why I am curious to see wgat offers Portis and Bryant receive because it will be hard for Washington to match big offers.

Nightcap, Langford makes nothing unless you are sayong to sign him and then wait the 30 days required before Langford becomes tradable. I just assumed you meant that his rights were being traded.

Sexton for Jaylen Brown would be good trade for each team.

I don’t think that package is worth either of those guys imo. I guess from the Celtics POV you’re offering 3 first rounders, but to me it’s 2 pretty clear late picks and a guy I didn’t get to choose.

I think the Celtics could make a pretty real offer for Dlo though.
