Way overpay for Minnesota.

Most they should give up for Westbrook is Wiggins, Teague and either future 1st round pick or Okogie. OKC wants more, Minnesota should walk away.

Whiteside, Collins, Little and a 1st is better than Adams and Covington.

Whiteside and Adams is a talent push while Whiteside's expiring deal is more attractive to Portland than Adams 2 years remaining because if the return of Nurdic.

Portland gives up all of their flexibility and youth for Adams and Covington? Adams and Nurkic couldn't play at the same time, yet they'd be locked into both past next season. Seems like a really bad fit.

I think Adams and Whiteside are similar value for Portland (because of Adams' bad contract and Whiteside's expiring) . In that case, Covington is worth Collins, Little, and a first? That's a huge overpay for a nice role player.

Switch Gallo with Adams and you have a deal.

First of all it makes sense for Blazers who need a 4 (no RoCo can't play full time 4) rather than a 5.

Secondly, it surrounds Towns (who should play the 4 at least on offense) with four average to above average defenders thus covering his glaring weakness.

At last, it makes sense money-wise for both teams because T-wolves would already be capped out by taking Brodies Contract so the expiring of Gallo wouldn't give them much flexibility and Blazers can have actual cap space (around 20M) in 2020 by taking Gallo instead of Adams.

Swapping Gallo and Adams would make a lot more sense (at least for Portland), but I still wouldn't come close to giving up Collins, Little, and a first for Gallo and Covington. Maybe one of those, definitely not all 3.

I'm not sold that Covington is anything but a marginal upgrade over Bazemore and Hood anyway. It would cause a massive logjam at SF (and the few backup SG minutes behind McCollum) .

I'd hold my assets to swing for the fences if I'm Portland. They need to make a splash to get a third big time player, not more rotation of supporting pieces.
