He’s been compared to Gobert by Knicks fans/ media. I’ve seen Capela, Deandre Jordan, and McGee too. Those three seem more likely.

Will he be a good player? Seems like a solid chance. Will he be the best defender in the NBA? Feels like a longshot.

More likely DeAndre Jordan’esqe.

Would prefer not to deal Robinson, but if the trade off is landing Towns, Knicks would be nuts not to consider it.

KAT is just starting a 5 year deal, and is a top 10-15 player in the NBA at the age of 23. He’s already made All NBA, and just missed last year (so his contract is cheaper) . MIN isn’t a free agent destination, and can’t afford to trade Towns and lose the team control.

For the record, I don’t think this offer is close. You would need a legit young star (not a prospect) plus picks for starters.
