The Knicks get Wall and Beal

The Wiz get Portis, Morris(exp), Gibson, Ntilikina, Smith and Knox

The Knicks get a star, instead of just weighting on free agency. They'll have plenty to build around him with and Wall could come back and still be pretty good. If not, you have the assets to deal him the summer of 2021, when there is a good free agent class.

The wizards get off of Wall's contract and can rebuild. They also get some talented guys that have a lot of upside. Giving the new front office a fresh start up a probably appealing to the wiz.
