OKC MIA

MIA get Gallinari and Nader

OKC get Waiters, Leonard, Jones Jr, 2023 Mia pick they already have becomes unprotected instead of lottery protected

MIA makes a playoff move and brings in a great offensive player in Gallo who can help big time in playoffs and he is clearly the best player involved in the trade. They get rid of Waiters who is a problem for them that they don't want. They have enough bigs to lose Leonard and still be fine. They give up the protections on the 2023 pick so they don't have to give up another pick to bring in a good player.

OKC take Waiters back and hope he can get his act straight and play good again. They bring in Leonard gives them more bench depth and if they can find a trade for Noel that Noel agrees to they will still have a backup C. They get a younger player that fits their time line in Jones Jr. And they get the 2023 pick no matter where its at which could be beneficial or end up being pointless that's 1 reason they get Jones jr just to make sure they still get something long term out of this deal.

No chance. Miami fans please move on. OKC isn't going to make your team better when they have two of your first round picks. It's foolish and Presti is too smart for that.

Im a Thunder fan not a heat fan. This makes OKC's 2023 miami pick better because it won't be protected and Gallinari is an expiring contract we don't have their this year pick so its not a big deal. And Jones Jr will add to our young wings on rookie contracts (rookie contracts are very valuable especially to small market teams) . Ferguson, Diallo and Jones Jr are 3 young wings with some potential they may never be all stars but they can all develop into good role players which every team needs.

Common sense dictates not to make another team better when you hold two of the other teams picks. We don't need more wings. We have plenty. We need bigs that can stretch the floor.

We make them better this year not long term so it doesn't matter. If anything the better they are this year the lower their draft pick is this year giving them less talent for the future. What is Leonard? Last i checked he is a big that can stretch the floor. We find a trade for Noel who has good value on that low contract. Then Leonard becomes the backup and we take the best offer whatever it is cause we wouldn't need a replacememt for Noel in the trade since we already have 1. And i know we have plenty of wings that's why we get rid of Nader in the trade. Then we have Diallo, Jones Jr., Burton, Waiters and sometimes Schroder at sg on the bench for wing depth. Diallo and Waiter are both often injured so we need good depth their. We need to just buy out Roberson seems like he will never be back at least not while on his current contract.
