Love it. Okc can sign Dort/ remove his 2-way designation. They get closer to the tax line and still have tons of picks.

See above for why MIN shouldn’t trade Covington, even for a decent package.

I’d have probably put Schröeder in the deal here though, and I hope MIN would resist.

Shrink, Schroeder is a much bigger key to Okc’s success this year than what Covington could add to the team. The chemistry & efficienciy on the 2nd unit would plummet.

The MINIMUM I could see Minn taking for Covington from Okc would be Roberson, Diallo, 2 1st Rnd picks and one of their pick swaps for taking on a player that will never touch their floor.

Teams have not been excited about trading for Ferg in the past and Diallo has great defensive instincts and is a better, more athletic slasher.

BUT, I think that would be too much for Presti to want to give up for a quality player that still wouldn’t be enough to make them Championship contenders.
