Simple trade Portland Boston

Boston gets
Whiteside

Portland gets
Hayward

Boston gets a legit big that could defend the bigs in the east, and though Hayward is the better player of the two Boston has the pieces to easily replace him.

Portland gets a real wing and 3rd option that could possibly make them a real threat next season.

Barkley, Spoelstra and Riley are right about Whiteside. His strength is going to the bank twice a month after stealing money. Since he got traded from Miami to Portland, the Heat have gotten better and the Blazers have gotten worse.

And if Heyward opts out in the off season? Then Portland would have taken on the additional $5 mil this season (and the luxury tax on that $5 mil) and accomplished pretty much nothing.

Drummond for Heyward is more realistic. Although Pistons don't want to take on salary. Find a 3rd team for Heyward and Drummond is better than Whiteside.

Wouldn’t the third team be Portland? Whiteside to Detroit, Hayward to Portland, Drummond to Boston? Portland probably has to include an asset (Trent? ) .

Miami is better now because they added an all NBA level player and Portland is worse because 3 of their starting 5 are hurt and have had 10 new guys on the team. Whiteside has actually been a solid center all season. I know this trade is unlikely but on paper would improve both teams.
