PHI/UTA

Sixers get Mike Conley

Jazz get Al Horford

Both guys on bad contracts that are north of 30. Fit isn't ideal with Utah so Philly would add sweeteners

Conley has 1 year left and Horford has 3. The 6ers would need to throw in a pick or two.

good trade pick will help the trade.

Utah would have kept Favors if he could hit a 3. Horford does that at a rate Utah could benefit from. Horford will be 35 when Utah makes its last 30 million dollar payment to Horford. Judging by Milsap in Denver this could be work for both sides if all goes as planned. (Although I wouldn't have picked up the option on Milsap this season if I was DEN)

If Simmons has back surgery, Conley would be a good replacement for a half season or more, maybe even stay for less after next season if he and Simmons coexist decently.

Draft day deal involving the OKC 1st if it conveys. If not, the 2022 1st lottery protected would fill the hole.

Simmons is likely to be down as long as M. Porter and/ or D. Howard were recovering from their sorta recent back surgery / injury recovery. That's about a season. Hope the news is more positive after the "treatment" in a couple weeks.

Philly shed Horfords' longer-term deal and gets help they need for the playoffs, Utah picks up a first, and tries out a different fit. Looks good to me.

Conley was unbenched so never mind kinda. Philly could also then give josh Richardson a lucrative deal to keep him around when conleys contract expires.
