Carl is right. Setting aside the price, the Wolves maximize Towns by running a 5-out. Also, Simmons has more value with the ball in his hands. I didn’t like adding Russell, but if he has any chance of recouping some of his max deal, he better be handling the ball.

Simmons is a talented player, and Towns maximizes who he is. However, Simmons reduces the value of Towns and Russell, so he’s not a great fit in MIN.
