Spurs/Warriors trade

Spurs get: Wiggins and #2 pick
Warriors get: Aldridge, Lyles, #11 pick.

I don’t think Aldridge makes much sense for the Warriors.

Outside of age, why doesn’t Aldridge make sense? A floor spacing center that can defend 4 or 5. He’s kind of a perfect fit next to Green.

Exactly, and Warriors have no chance to compete with Lakers without quality bigs. Aldridge is a beast and still has 3 good years left. He also developed a decent 3 point shot.

Spurs draft Deni Advija with #2.

It's a steep price for an aging player and a weak draft, but that GS team could be good.

Maybe the spurs should trouw in a protected future first round pick.

I would gamble on Gannis, if i were the Warriors.

As you said, it is a weak draft. Warriors still get a lottery pick. They also have Minnesota's 1st pick next year. They are doing fine. Getting rid of Wiggin's salary gives them options next year. The benefits for this year are huge, Aldridge would make them a contender. Lyles, while a throw-in for salary matching, is a decent backup big that can rebound, play both PF/ C and can also shoot the 3. He started most of the season for the Spurs because he learned the system right away and Poeltl was not smart enough to learn the spurs system after a year on the job.

Spurs hold the line on extra draft picks.
