Warriors get George Hill

OKC gets Wiggins, 1st

So here's my thought process. Wiggins is more boom or bust in terms of on the court production. He could be better than Hill some nights, or he could be worse. Hill is a steadying force. This cuts $20M in salary for the Warriors. That compounds though when you consider the tax. The 1st is for cutting money AND taking on the longer/bigger deal. OKC adds a first and helps them tank.

No, OKC isn't getting a 1st out of Hill. It's funny to even watch.

Sooooooo George Hill makes $9.5 and OKC has $13.5 mil in salary cap space available totaling $23 mil. Wiggins makes $29.5 mil. Numbers don't quite work.

Darry, I would disagree. Have you watched Hill this year? I wouldn't bash you if you hadn't. There's been zero nationally televised Thunder games this year. But Hill has played well.

Fredman, OKC can throw in a guy like Miller to get it closer. The basic framework doesn't change though. Works on the tradenba trade machine.

regardless, the Warriors are thinking much bigger for wiggins and the minny pick. they took on that salary so they could replace that salary with a difference maker. george hill is not a difference maker.

GS isn't going to give a 1st for nothing useable though. I agree that the value is probably fair, but GS is probably looking for something around Wiggins and the Minny pick (and maybe another 1st or paschall) for useable role players.

And you expect GSW to take Miller who is recovering from an Achilles and still pay for a First Round Pick? Especially after waiving someone on the current roster to make room to "take" Miller? Dude, wake up and smell the rubbish you are shovelling.
