Collins and Oladipo contracts expire and both looking to move on and also the Teams are not ready to offer max contracts to them.

Mavs could use 2 x 1st pick to get them in March to build an extraordinary good and expensive team.

Mavericks get Collins, Oladipo via trade and extend by 4y max
Pacers get Snell, Green and a 1st Mavs
Hawks get Johnson, Sampson and a 1st Mavs

Going far over CAP Mavs could also keep all players like Hardaway (4y 50m) and Richardson (4y 90m) with bird rights.

Mavs have the 2025 and 2027 to sell. And in March Collins and Oladipo have more or less 1 month left on their contracts - afterwards they are free agents. IF Hawks and/ or Pacers do NOT expect to resign their player it would be a really good deal for both ot them. Mavs would spend a lot but could sign two max players instead of only one of them in FA - cu.

Dallas' 1st round pick to New York protected for selections 1-10 in 2023, 1-10 in 2024 and 1-10 in 2025; if Dallas has not conveyed a 1st round pick to New York by 2025, then Dallas will instead convey its 2025 2nd round pick to New York [Dallas-New York, 1/ 31/ 2019]

Dallas cannot trade a 1st round pick until 2027 if they do not remove the protections from this deal.
