Seems like a lot for #3.

Not sure the Knicks can trade Randall after this season. I think the fanbase would smoke them.

It's a lot and it's not a lot.

Are they going to give Randle big money in in 2022? I like Mobley's potential over Randle.
And ok they give up 4 pick. Two late first round pick in this draft, a highly protected first in next years draft and the Dallas pick that's also top ten protected in the 2023 draft.

I think they've a better chance developing Mobley into a star than they draft another star with those picks.

And the Wolves do this, because they need to win now, Randle is a good fit with KAT and those future picks give them flexibility.
Maybe the Wolves do this with only three picks in return, but they risk to lose Randle for nothing next year.

When you hate on the knicks this idea makes. 😏🤥.

The Wolves are full of lower upside young players, but a non-free agent team like them needs to hit on star talent in the draft. They can’t afford to trade away a top pick, especially since they will owe an unprotected pick next year.

I also agree that it would be very hard for the Knicks to trade Randle, so I’m not sure I like the deal for them. And obviously, with two max deals already on the books, paying Randle is probably not appealing to MIN either.

The Knicks should trade Randle now, he will never have more value
The Knicks will be stuck in the middle and bottom for another decade if they give him a new contract.
Mobley is projected to be the next C Bosh

The Knicks can built around Barrett and Mobley and they still have their own picks if the project fails.

@gasupo. May be reaching a little here, but Mobley may be projected like the next C. Bosh. Randle, at least for this season, is CURRENTLY playing like C. Bosh with C. Bosh shooting a better percentage, but Randle having better assist numbers.

What you are trying to do is trade Chris Bosh for what you hope to be the next Chris Bosh. Not sure that is a solid strategy to follow.

I understand that this looks like a steep price for a prospect.

But it's NY, the Knicks should be a contender, not a team playing for a second round exit.

I like the Sam Hinkie "Trust the proces", keep rebuilding until you have the pieces to play for a championship team.

Randle has max value now. I'm happy that he finally became an all star, but the knicks should develop Topin, so he's expendable. I would trade him for a young prospect.

And what can you get for him?
Houston probably has no intrest
Detroit already has J Grant
Orlando can't use him
The only team that can have intrest is Minny, because they want to keep KAT happy and Ranle is a good fit next to him.

and they get another high draft pick in 2022, if the proces fails.

Gasupo is such a hater. Knicks are not trading Randle. Your logic is sad to say the least. Randle will finish top 10 in mvp if knicks win over 40 games. Randle found his home, got in shape and has a great relationship with his coach. Trade him bc this was fluke yr and he can't repeat. He can do better with a pg who can run the offense and can shoot.

Shizze- they will work n more with a PG. his numbers will drop. This will be his best stat line ever. If RJ improves and add a PG toppin even becomes average all that takes away from his stats. I not saying trade him but the knicks are contenders in the next three years.
