warriors can't do sign and trade. if they do they will be hard capped. they can't stay under tax apron. they have 165 million salary plus 2 first round plus oubre if they sign. doing sign and trade is imposible for gsw unless they move curry or klay. and wiggins alone better than derozan. he is better at defence and he is younger. gsw should trade him but not for worse player.

Warriors would rather take Siakam themselves. They can offer a good package for him.

Wouldn’t the Warriors just cut the Spurs out and take Siakam? He seems like he’d be a good fit in that system. Maybe a bad fit with Green, but they could figure it out.

Yeah kinda seems like this trade is just Spurs getting Siakam for cents on the dollar.

Derozan can just leave. No need for him to do a sign and trade. He doesn’t owe the Spurs anything as they didn’t make one trade to help him out despite him making the playoffs for them several times.

I think warriors can do the trade because there taking back less salary.

Raptors say no. Good value, bad value. just not the value Toronto would be looking for in a deal for Siakam.

Sure DeRozan can leave SA, but he couldn't go to Toronto. There are only a handful of teams that can afford to pay him and most are bad teams. By agreeing to a sign and trade, his options expand greatly.

San Antonio could do a deal with Toronto just as easily as Golden State. I think DeRozan would be cheaper than Wiggins. Also, DeRozan would be signed up for 3/ 4 years where Wiggins would be on an expiring deal and DeRozan is a fan favorite in Toronto. The Spurs could offer draft picks and one of their talented young players.
