S&T contract must be minimum 3 years (2 + 1)

Seriously doubt Oubre wants to sign with the Magic.

I don't see why Oubre would not sign with Magic. Magic will be better next year with Issac and Fultz coming back from injury. Oubre would be an upgrade over Ross. I bet Oubre would prefer Orlando to Golden State as his minutes will be reduced when Klay comes back. In my opinion Magic are the clear winners in this deal.

It can’t be 2+1 either. Has to be 3 fully guaranteed years, no options.

Actually, S&T deals must be for 3 or 4 years with the 1st year fully guaranteed. No options allowed and only 5% raises per year allowed.

Oubre Jr., is good enough to merrit a 3 year guaranteed deal. If not part of this deal, someone else will offer it to him. So make it 3 guaranteed years.

BMiller, the first year of an S&T is the only year that has to be guarenteed.

Other teams (like Sacramento) will be after Oubre than the Magic.

But you do have to ask yourself. How many players are signing a 1+2? Most players are not signing without those guaranteed years.

“ A team may sign a contract with its own player and simultaneously trade that player. These sign-and-trade transactions are generally subject to these rules:

For a veteran free agent, a sign-and-trade is allowed if (i) the player to be signed and traded finished the prior season on his prior team’s roster, (ii) the contract covers between 3 (excluding any option year) or 4 seasons”

It’s 3 years without options minimum.
