If Clips go out in round 1, I could definitely see Kawhi wanting out. Perhaps he wants to stay in Cali and join the Warriors. They can only make that work via sign and trade.

Clips get Wiseman
***They get a high profile prospect in return for losing Kawhi and avoid overpaying a lesser talent in taking on Wiggins. They can either roll out a team built around pg or trade him. They also shed Kennard in the process.

Warriors get Kawhi, Kennard
***They put Kawhi with Steph plus a recuperated Klay. Enough said.

Thunder get Wiggins, 15th pick via Warriors
***They missed out on this pick just barely and get it anyways by taking on Wiggins. Wiggins low key tears it up when he's playing in okc. Plus they could use his scoring on the wing with all the young players. Adding another pick doesn't hurt.

I won't say categorically that there's no way this can work under the S&T rules but it would take some manipulation if it is possible. Kennard could not be combined with Leonard, so you would need a companion trade that meets the rules in order to include him. the bigger issue, I believe, is how you get Kawhi to GSW. S&T would mean the Warriors would be hard capped, but over the hard cap. Klay, Steph and Draymond salaries add up to 109M. Kawhi will be signing for supermax beginning at 45M. that would put them well beyond the hard cap. so you'll need to add a trade of one of the existing big 3 to make this make sense.
Not suggesting it can't be done, but as proposed it won't work. back to the drawing board.

The Clippers have tons of leverage. The Warriors would move heaven and earth to get Kawhi. They’d be giving up a bunch of picks. Wiseman and both their 1sts this year would have to be in the deal. The Clippers are risking not having wiseman. The Warriors would be risking not having Kawhi in negotiations.
