A second round pick is not enough to salary dump $20+ mil in (Powell+Richardson) salary. AT LEAST a first round pick is required.

Trading Richardson first requires him to opt in then trading him, and only him, plus 2 2nd rd picks which usually converts to a conditional 2nd rd pick and take no contract back which would create the 11 mil TPE to use for the first year of Hardaways contract. But I'm not sure if it needs to be a 3+1 or 4 year deal or if it can be placed on just the one year deal for Richardson?

Ringring, where did you get the 11 mil TPE from?

I was just going in to correct myself. Freddie is right, you can't use it to sign your own free agent. I was caught up in where the 11 mil was coming from and assumed it was from Josh. Just didn't go back to delete Hardaways name. Go to flipping bed already!

Freddie you initially stated you can't sign a FA using the TPE, because you can. TYPO?

I guess it was not obvious to some that I was referring to the signing of Hardaway with the TPE. Even thou Ringring clearly states, "Mavs sign THJ 4y 45m (Having the 11m trade exception) ". SMH.
