Sixers would want Hield, they don’t need more forwards.

No from Spurs.

Actually, Philly doesn't have a PF on their roster if you count Harris as a SF, so they could use both of these PFs.

As far as the Spurs, they could use Hield as a 6th man. He is an upgrade to their roster without breaking the bank. They don't need Young. This deal gives them a path to a 15 player roster.

How about this modification

Kings get Simmons, Walker IV
Spurs get Hield
Sixers get Bagley III, Young, Haliburton

No picks to Phily. Sixers get two starters in Bagley II, and Haliburton along with a strong Backup PF on an expiring deal. Kings get Simmons and a sixth man in Walker IV. They lose a valuable PG, but they have three good ones already. Spurs upgrade their roster and get a huge boost to their biggest offensive problem (three point shooting) .

Philly has Harris Reed Niang that will all be playing SF. They’re not trading Simmons for that.

I think Philly is more interested in Hield than San Antonio.

Sacramento is not trading Halliburton for Simmons.

Who becomes Philly's ball handler and playmaker after the departure of Simmons? Curry, Maxey, Hield and Green can not breakdown a defense on their own.

Ball handling for the Sixers is why I modified the deal to include Haliburton. I know that Sacramento is very high on Haliburton, but if ownership really wants Simmons, I think they will give up Haliburton. They have Fox at PG and just drafted Davian Mitchell so Haliburton is somewhat redundant. The addition of Walker IV would help offset the loss of Hield. They have been rumored to want to move Hield, so this would not be off the table. Obviously, Simmons would be the star of the deal and an upgrade over Bagley III.

Spurs are going to make a deal for Young before the season starts. Who knows who they are targeting, but Hield is as good a guess as any. He would be an upgrade over Walker IV and was the 2nd best three point shooter in the league last year. He would transform the Spurs into a modern NBA team even though he would probably be 6th man.

Philly might want more for Simmons, but this is a good return and gives them 3 guys who would play meaningful minutes, probably two starters and Young off the bench. Philly is in win now mode and I think they would prefer help right away to future draft picks. Haliburton is ready to start at PG whereas Maxey would be a good backup PG.

I think this is a win for all three teams, but if one of the teams demands more, I wouldn't hesitate to throw in a 2nd round pick or two to make everyone happy.

Halliburton appears redundant to you because you see him as a PG when he is filling more of a "3 and D" role with Sacramento. Kings cannot afford to give up ANY defensive players. And to be honest, I think the Kings are higher on Halliburton than Simmons.

Now if SA was including Murray over Young, I think this would have more believability.

I meant Harris Reed and Niang will be the PF's for 76ers and them 3 have been playing that positions for multiple years. Not to mention they gave Green Thybulle Korkmaz at SF.
