No from Minnesota. This leaves them without a starting PG.

I don't think Philly is really interested in those players for Simmons.

What carl006 said, plus the Wolves aren’t in an asset collecting phase. There going to either bring someone in (probably a backup big and/ or a backup PG) or stand pat to see what this core can do with some stability.

Also, the money doesn’t work for MN. They aren’t going into the tax.

Finally, I suspect xxx is right as well.

Just for the record, D’Angelo Russell is #16 in the NBA in RAPTOR, and has been a terrific clutch scorer. I have always hated the guy, but he now is a plus on team defense, by calling out the plays that opposing teams are trying to run against them,

So if MIN is going to be stuck with Harris’ contract, a couple 1sts is probably the right value. However, you’d need a fourth team - Carl and BeerBrewer are correct that MIN isn’t in asset collection mode. Bring in a fourth team to send them something decent for those picks, and maybe route either Rose or Walker to MIN as well. Personally, I think Russell would be a better fit on the Sixers, FWIW.

So I played with this one a bit, and I can’t get it to work. If Simmons goes to NYK, Randle would need to be a part of the package, so Harris could have use as a starter to replace him. To come close to the $69 mil in incoming salary, it would require a lot of the salary to come from the Knicks PG spot, so Simmons becomes the PG. The problem though is that the Knicks simply don’t have enough tradable salary to make a deal work.

I feel like Derrick Rose and Taj Gibson are not being traded, since they are together with Thibs on their third team. Does anyone want Fournier? And even if they did, Randle, Fournier, Burks and Kemba are still only $58 . the Knicks are still $11 mil short. Add in the fact that a team with a full roster would need to cut three players before they could do a 5-for-2 deal, and I don’t think the Knicks can take both big deals. That puts us back to square one, and the question the OP was trying to solve . who would be willing to take on Tobias Harris huge contract?
