Why would the Hawks trade a franchise player?

i like your ideas but i think OKC needs to really evaluate their talent a bit more and and they are going to use all of their '22 picks because of the depth of the draft. same could be said about 2023.

Sam Presti is taking his time with that organization. let the rest of the west age, let Doncic and Morant and KAT get older, we have the opportunity here to create a dynasty solely through the draft and become the next GS Warriors caliber franchise. you HAVE SGA and Giddey as foundational starters. Dort could be upgraded. Trevor Keels is almost identical archetype that OKC could draft, MUCH cheaper too. if Theo Maledon is your 3rd PG, you are in excellent shape at that position with quality depth. Poku is a nice big with potential, same for Olivier Sarr. Roby looks like he will be a nice backup PF play that similar role Brandon Clarke plays for Memphis. if the Thunder draft Jabari Smith, they will have their foundation in place. they need that high volume 2 way wing and a guy that's built like Kevin Durant and can shoot really well and defend really well with length and speed so he can switch 2-5 defensively if he gets a bit stronger. add that to OKC and in 3 years they are scary. THEN you trade picks for that missing star piece.

That’s a start. Atlanta gets much more.
