Okay, Toronto fans. I saw this rumor today and it got me thinking.

Sacramento Kings Receive: Pascal Siakam

Toronto Raptors Receive: Harrison Barnes, Justin Holiday, No. 4 pick

There are a couple of problems from the Kings perspective. The first is that I think the #4 pick is a little too high for Siakam and his max contract. Secondly, the Kings cannot really trade Holiday as they have not depth at SG (T. Davis and perhaps a resigned DiVincenzo) without a draft pick to replace him.

So let's suppose the Kings trade down from #4 to say #8-#13 range. Would you guys trade Siakam for Barnes, Holmes + pick #8-#13?

I think that the more logical trade would be the second proposal, like a Barnes/ Holmes/ mid-lottery pick package is more likely to appeal to Sacramento. But hey, no one ever knows what the Kings are doing lol.

That's too much to give up for Siakam. The Raptors have a logjam of forwards on their roster and everyone knows it.

Neither of the players you suggest really fit into what Toronto is doing. they could have signed Holmes last year if they had been interested in paying a little more than Sacramento could offer. they didn't, which tells me Masai doesn't see him as a fit. and everyone who follows the Raptors knows that the logjam of forwards is by design, not a mistake.
Siakam is at the very least close to ALLNBA and it wouldn't make any sense for the Raptors to deal him unless the deal made them immediately better. Toronto has no interest at all in a teardown rebuild.

Terrible I wouldn't do this if I was the raptors unless it's the 4th pick.

Siakim is an allstar and all nba they need his size and skill. Raptors don't need to trade siakim OG Barnes or freddy. To be honest they should keep everyone but boucher and young. You can bring one back but not both. They only need a scoring guard off the bench and bench depth. They also should trade Birch and Flynn and a fire draft pick for a bigger center who can rebound and block shots. At a higher level.
