What you guys think of
Kings trade Holmes, holiday and 4th pick for OG anunoby?

As kings fan this seems to fit the win now strategy and zero chance they get somebody better for next year or two from the draft.raptors have clear logjam at forward..

Raptors do not have a clear logjam at forward. it is totally by design and they're much more likely to double down than to take Holmes, a guy they didn't want last summer, and Holiday, a guy nobody really wants. the number 4 is interesting, but even if we were to hit on scottie barnes number 2 that player wouldn't be better than OG for several years.
it's kinda nice, as a raptors fan, to know that everybody wants him, but even nicer to know that the management know what they're doing, and won't do a bad deal just because bleacher report says so.

It's a slight overpay but if they can re-sign OG, it's a good move.

Is OG becoming the most overrated player in the NBA? The #4 pick for him? Really? That’s a massive overpay for a good defender that’s a league average efficient player.

He’s arguably the worst starter on Toronto. And has huge question marks with his health.

His stats line up really close to 24 year old Aaron Gordon. I think they’re very similar.

Kings would probably pass because OG does not directly fill a need and sending Holiday to match salary creates a new whole that will not be filled.

Rapsfans think OG is Kawhi-like i am not surprised he is becoming an overrated dude.

Why does OG have superstar value all of a sudden?

It's a little overpay for Sacramento, but Anunoby would be a great fit.

OG is being over-rated for one reason. Toronto DOES NOT WANT to trade him. They will only trade him for one of those offers you can't refuse. equal value isn't part of the equation for Raptors management. they will have to win the trade in order to do it. otherwise quite happy to carry on with him as a starter and key member of the group.

I do think it's very unfair to us Raptors fans to assign us the habit of overrating players. Everybody does that. I think OG has great potential, the Kings fans think Davion has great potential, the Blazers fans think Simons has great potential.
OG is a much better defender than Gordon was. He has the foot speed to consistently go against smaller, quick guards, and the strength to bang down low with anyone not named Embiid. He even shut down Giannis, for crying out loud. The fourth pick would likely be Ivey, and I don't see the Raptors giving up their best defender for a Fred/ Ivey/ Trent 1/ 2/ 3, which would get demolished by bigger 2's and 3's.

That being said, I personally don't value OG as high as other fans do, but I do think that we shouldn't trade him.

People may overvalue their own players which is how it usually goes. But OG Simons and Mitchell aren’t worth 4.

OG isn't wort the fourth pick, but i don't think the Kings can get a better offer and they have to make some decisions. They want a win now player and Ivey don't want to go.
So they can draft Murray, Mathurin or Sharpe.
Murray is tempting, but i would prefer OG over sharpe.

Is Ivey/ Murray going to be as good as Simons/ OG will?

I think OG fits what the kings need and can’t imagine they get a better player at 4 pick than him, at least not for the next 2 years…is Keegan Murray better than OG? At least OG is young and yes would only do it if could lock him up for a few years.

OG fits what the Kings are doing but OG doesn't fill the holes that the Kings gave at SG and PF.

Ivey has more potential than Simons and OG yes. You can’t compare a rookie and a NBA player with 3+ years under their belt. Sac can get a player on that level + more (Collins + fillers) .

I don’t see how Ivey makes any sense for the kings with fox. Nor can he shoot, the kings need a wing and or PF with some swag, physicality, defense. Etc…I think there are teams who value Ivey highly and kings should trade the pick. John Coliins seems overrated and soft, a better version of Marvin bagley, I’d rather have a Jerami grant or OG … fox, Mitchell. Barnes. OG and Sabonis should make the playoffs.

a) Everyone "overvalues" their players, not just Raptors fans. Think about that the next time someone makes what you might consider a garbage proposal for one of your core guys.

b) Raps won't trade OG for anything that doesn't make them better and compliment their vision. Holmes, Holiday, and guys like them don't tick either of those boxes. The 4th pick is arguable.

c) If the Kings value OG enough to send the 4th pick and change, then that's his value relative to that franchise. Doesn't mean that's his value to the Raptors or any other team. It's all relative.

d) There is no logjam at forward. As windraps said, it's by design.
