Wolves get: Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson and a lottery protected future first round pick

Heat get: D'Angelo Russell and Taurean Prince

Wolves gain an experienced playmaking guard who will hopefully give Edwards' more freedom for plays and be the clear no.1 option. Players who space the floor is ideal when Gobert is playing so they gain Robinson for this need. Gaining a first round pick for taking on big contracts could help them down the line in future trades especially since their own are controlled by the Jazz for the foreseeable.

Heat do this mainly for contractual reasons. Herros extension comes into effect next year so clearing money off the books in 2 overpaid contracts for an expiring and a palatable contract is smart. If they want to make a run at a FA in 2023, it also gives them that possibility. Russell and Prince as players also keep the team competitive.

I like the idea but I think MIN needs more than a lotto protected 1st to take on Robinson's contract. Also not sure how much Miami wants Russell compared to other options - that would be adding another ball dominant backcourt player.

Wolves will still fight for the play offs and Lowry has a max deal, but is near the end of his career. And Miami will have no interest to move Lowry for Russell.
