Cavs get: Scoot Henderson, Anfernee Simons

Blazers get: Donovan Mitchell

Why?

Cavs move on from Mitchell for get great return and get younger.

Blazers keep Lillard happy by adding another all-star.

Blazers - Spurs Trade (after Sept. 12)

Blazers get: Reggie Bullock, Zach Collins.

Spurs get: Jusef Nurkic, 2029 unprotected 1st from Blazers.

Why?

Blazers get upgrade at Center, and a sold 3 and D and add a player to their roster.

Spurs get a future 1st and trim roster.

I really like Scoot. That said, the Cavs can't wait for him to develop. They're in win-now mode.

Why do the Cavs want to move on from Mitchell? Whatever those reasons are, they play into Portland not wanting him. Dame will be happy if he wins, staying in Portland or not. Staying in Portland, they will not win adding another 6'2" and under guard who can score. Dame needs to play with pick'n'roll players, defenders, and front-court power to win. And, Mitchell is not worth Scoot and Anfernee as Portland will be rebuilding without Dame.

Finally, Bullock with have little value to Portland and Collins spent 3 1/ 2 seasons riding the gourney/ pine for the Blazers. He showed glimpses this past season, again a partial season, but it is not an upgrade, or dependable, or is worth a 1st round pick.
