I don't hate the trade at all but wouldn't you want the Pacers to stick with this core first for a bit? Maybe Mathurin pans out to be close to Bridges's level.

Mathurin can develop in an all star or in a roll player.
Bridges is a lock borderline all star.

I feel the pacers are reade to compete for a title. We lost to Boston 4-0, but most games were pretty close.
So i think we have a chance with a healty Haliburton and the addition of Bridges
This Indy startingfive can keep up with Boston and we have a better bench
