A Chris paul trade not seen everywhere.

ORL get Paul
OKC gets Aminu, Ross, & Bamba
then add 2024 lottery protected 1st if that's not to much for Paul. If it is to much then just the players.

ORL has been in the bottom seeds of the playoffs the last couple of years and can never do match in the 1st round they loose. They bring in paul to be more competitive in tbe post season.

They pair him with Gordon and Vucevic and Isaac played pretty well last season and paul could help develop his game even more. Paul can help fultz develop more and help make him the future player the magic want him to be.

They bring in a good team leader and mentor to help them be more competitive instead of staying in that range no one wants to be in. No lottery draft pick and go no where in the playoffs. They have been like that for the past few seasons and this can change that.

OKC brings in Bamba to develop more behind Adams for Adams last contract season. I love Adams, but we have no idea what is going to happen with him. Will Presti trade him? Will he sign a team friendly extension and stay? If we don't keep Adams Bamba can be our future center and he is young and can play with SGA for a long time and get great chemistry with each other.

Then if the season is seeming like a full rebuild season we flip Aminu and Ross to a contending team at the trade deadline. Both of those players can help a contender. Aminu is a 3&D type of player, and Ross can come off the bench and score you some points both are needs om contending teams and shouldn't be hard to flip them for something decent.

OKC full rebuild let me know which trades are good which ones aren't and what your overall opinion is. Good rebuild?

Trade 1 OKC & CHI

OKC gets Porter (accepts PO), Felicio, White, future protected 1st
CHI gets Paul
Salary works perfectly, its almost identical.

OKC brings in White and a future 1st for their future and porter jr who has a PO of 27 mil i don't see him turning that down, and felicio expire after the season.

If CHI is ready to be competitive again this is good for them. They bring in Paul to pair back with Donovan we saw what they just did with the Thunder together. You pair Paul with Lavine and Markkanen. They aren't bringing in any extra salary and can make moves to open up more salary to sign someone else to pair with Paul Lavine and Markkanen. Like Davis who is from CHI and if i'm CHI trying to get Davis i bring in Paul and the team looks even better to Davis.

Trade 2 OKC & LAL

OKC get Kuzma & Green
LAL get Schroder & Ferguson

OKC brings in Kuzma for the future. And Green is expiring.

LAL they have had some struggles at the guard position this year. Lakers fans aren't happy with Kuzma and Green right now. Neither of them have been much help in the playoffs and Lakers is a contending team so you want players to show up. They bring in Schroder who was 2nd in 6th man race and played great in the playoffs. Also Schroder has been able to stay pretty healthy and not miss a lot of games which is also a plus. They bring in Ferguson who has shown signs of being able to be a 3&D wing which is always nice to have on a contender.

Trade 3 OKC & IND

OKC gets Turner and a future 1st if not to much for Gallo if it is to much then just Turner

IND get Gallinari S&T

OKC adds Turner to their young team as their future center

IND adds Gallinari and keeps oladipo to improve their team and become more of a playoff threat.

Trade 4 OKC & SAC

OKC get Hield

Sac get Adams

OKC brings Hield back to OKC and puts him with their young guys to develop together and improve together.

Sac gets a solid center who will be great with fox in P&R and they haven't had a good solid C for a while. They have tried adding some people in the past that just hasn't worked, but they bring in Adams to greatly improve their C position.

OKC then fills out depth through FA, but they get a bunch of younger guys and they still have all of their draft picks to add to the team with in the future plus their own picks which should be high for a couple of years.

OKC starting 5
PG- SGA
SG- Hield
SF- Dort
PF- Kuzma
C- Turner
White and Bazley come off the bench both young guys who showed pretty good potential at times this season. Both could potentially in the future be a 6th man of the Year winner or move their way into the starting lineup.

Yeah real OKC homer trades.

2.) 10 Oct 2020 21:47:46
I only like the Lakers/ Okc trade. No way Bulls include Coby White.

It's going to be an interesting off-season for sure as there are about ten teams looking for that one piece to get them over the top. It's definitely going to be a seller's market for sure because of the weak free agents, unknown draft certainties and cap reduction. Several teams will have to trade away players or they're going to lose millions of dollars. Philly for sure. This is a prime year to obtain young assets and picks for rebuilding teams which should greatly expedite the rebuild process. Next year is going to be about all the excellent free agents. That being said, I only see the Lakers/ Thunder trade as a possibility in your trade scenarios.

lakers okc makes no sense for lakers. Kuz needs to go still just not the right move to address their needs.

chicago isn't ready to win now won't give up white

i like the gallo turner swap for both teams natural fluid pairing with sabonis turner needs chance to develop
they adams hield trade is a great follow up to that for OKC just doesn't look like SAC has a chance to win either so I don't see them doing a deal where they aren't getting younger player/ picks for hield.

This OKC rebuild is about to be crazy! I also don't see it taking very long either. After 2 seasons they can have drafted 2 top 3 picks and some other young talent. Then start using their picks to trade for disgruntled stars. They have enough picks and should have enough cap space that they could easily get 2 mad stars that want to leave where they are. Then add those 2 stars to our young talented team (2 top 3 picks+the young talents they have now that will develop).
SGA will continue to develope and get more chances to become the all star it looks like he can be. Bazley also showed great potential in the bubble and he will have plenty of opportunity to develope. He could become a player that easily averages 15-20 a game. We have Dort on a very team friendly deal for 4 years. And we have the players we just got on draft night. After 2 seasons of rebuilding and getting young talent we add 2 stars via trade by using some of the picks we have because at that point we will have a lot of young talent and we have more future 1sts than we have roster spots. Plus SGA for sure. We could have a big 3 and good young depth after 2 seasons of rebuilding. Plus give Bennett (the OKC owner) 2 cheap salary years then when its time to be competitive again we all know he will go into luxury tax to be competitive if needed. OKC has a great future. It might just be painful watching them get there.

Curious to see if they go for Harden. SGA+Horford+3futurefirsts may be the best offer Houston gets.

2.) 21 Nov 2020 16:24:19
They aren't going to trade for Harden. They have fully committed to rebuilding. I think ot will be a season or 2 before they go after big names in trades. Why trade all of your players that make you a competitive team just to trade for Harden. They would have kept some competitive players if they wanted to bring in a player to be competitive.

3.) 21 Nov 2020 17:22:28
Future looking bright for sure. To me the Dolphins are their NFL equivalent, as their rebuild is going to be quicker than you think with all those assets and young players they have. 1-2 build into all star type players and if they hit on a 3rd in a draft they are set. And they’ll still have plenty of picks to trade for a star down the line.

4.) 21 Nov 2020 18:13:22
I am just seeing less and less places for Harden to go. OKC is one of the few that has the pieces Houston wants.

5.) 22 Nov 2020 08:15:50
Going for Harden while giving up SGA is not The right direction. They can attach those boatload of picks to try and get Harden but not SGA.

6.) 22 Nov 2020 19:12:55
If they trade for harden most likely they trade for someone else to pair.

As an OKC fan i would love Culver and pick 17 for Paul, but i don't think they would unless towns told them he wanted paul which i don't think he would. But MD-StaySmooth wolves could still use Paul even with Russell. Put Russell at SG and Paul is a way better team leader and playmaker than Russell. And Russell could learn a thing or 2 from Paul in Pauls last 2 years under contract and help Russell be better as their future long term PG. Again don't think it would happen even thoughi would like it, but if wolves want to win then adding Paul would help even though they have russell.

I could see Bazley jump up to average 20 ppg for sure at least 15. He showed in the bubble he can score and the team will have plenty of scoring opportunities for him to take.
