Utah Jazz offseason plan

Need to add veteran help. Paul Millsap returning sounds really good for Jazz but if Conley opts in, it will be hard to pull that off. This trade could work to be able to bring in Paul Millsap

UTAH-DET

UTAH get Derrick Rose & Tony Snell (waive)

DET get Mike Conley, future 1st round pick & 2nd round pick

UTAH ask Detroit to take Conley's last year and give them some draft picks while getting DRose who they throw away 2 years ago but now can be a vital part of a championship run.

sign Paul Millsap to a 2yr/35mil with player option

resign Jordan Clarkson for a reasonable deal and go over the cap

G Donovan Mitchell - Derrick Rose
G Joe Ingles - Jordan Clarkson
F Bojan Bogdanovic - Georges Niang
F Paul Millsap - Royce Oneale
C Rudy Gobert - Ed Davis - Tony Bradley

Gobert deal everywhere, how about BOSTON?

Let's say the Celtics acquire Gobert, they would have to give up Jaylen Brown & a couple of picks at least. Of course the Jazz would love to have him. But what would the Jazz do at the center position? Will the Cavs take Conley & a pick from Boston and send Drummond? And then waive Conley? Something like:

CELTICS : Rudy Gobert & Larry Nance Jr

Walker-Edwards
Smart-Wanamaker
Hayward-Ojeleye
Tatum-Nance jr
Gobert-Kanter-Poirier

JAZZ : Jaylen Brown, Romeo Langford, Andre Drummond, 1st from BOS (own)

Mitchell-Mudiay
Bogdanovic-Clarkson-Langford
Brown-Niang
Ingles-Oneale
Drummond-Bradley

CAVALIERS : Mike Conley (waive), Daniel Theis, MEM 1st from BOS & 2nd from UTAH

Garland
Sexton
Porter
Osman
Wiseman (assumption)

Probably the Celtics nees to throw in another piece (contract) to make it work better.

That’s way too much to give up for Gobert. I’m not sure I would trade Brown straight up for him. I also don’t see a reason the Cavs would just waive a big expiring contract. It’d be better to just keep him on roster in case someone is looking to dump salary.

2.) 16 Apr 2020 08:58:13
Boston giving up 3 players and 2 firsts for that? No way.

BKLYN : Rudy Gobert & Frank Ntilikina

Irving-Ntilikina
Levert-Nwaba
Harris-Chandler
Durant-Prince
Gobert-Jordan

UTAH : Jarrett Allen, Julius Randle, 1st round pick DAL via NYK, 1st round pick LAC via NYK, 1st round pick BKLYN

Conley-Mudiay
Mitchell-Clarkson
Bogdanovic-Oneale
Randle-Ingles
Allen-Bradley-pick

NY KNICKS : Spencer Dinwiddie, Garrett Temple & Rodions Kurucs

Dinwiddie-Payton-Smith jr
Pick-Bullock
Barrett-Temple-Ellington
Portis-Kurucs-Knox
Robinson-Gibson

G.STATE : Rudy Gobert & Doug McDermott

Curry
Thompson
Lee
Green
Gobert

UTAH : Myles Turner, Kevon Looney, 1st round pick 2020 IND, 2nd round pick GS

Conley
Mitchell
Bogdanovic
Ingles
Turner

INDIANA : Andrew Wiggins & 2020 1st round pick from GS

Brogdon
Oladipo
Wiggins
Warren
Sabonis

Plus the pick

That seems pretty bad for Indiana. Wiggins is a net negative and the top of this draft isn’t very interesting.

2.) 14 Apr 2020 12:38:14
I take that as a pacers fan.

3.) 14 Apr 2020 14:55:43
Indy doesn't own a 2020 first.

Again, why GS trading assets to pay Gobert $27 mil, when they can just draft Wiseman?

4.) 14 Apr 2020 15:20:57
Wiggins isn't the star he was expected to be, but he still is a talented player. Indy is the perfect destination for him to become a star. And i would like to draft Edwards, giving up only an expendable Turner and a late first.

5.) 14 Apr 2020 15:30:09
Because Wiseman is a sure thing right? The way i see it, the warriors choose who they rather pay wiggins or gobert
Everyone chooses Gobert.

6.) 14 Apr 2020 16:34:51
I think Utah would just cut Indy out.

And GS wants Gobert over Wiseman because Gobert is a known quantity, and fits their timeline. They want to win another ring or two. Wiseman might be able to help, Gobert absolutely would.

PHOENIX: Aaron Gordon

The Suns have Mikal Bridges or Cam Johnson to replace Oubre at the starting unit so swapping him for an athletic young PF isn't a bad idea. They can draft a PF or CE to back up their bigs

Rubio-Okobo
Booker-Jerome-Carter
Bridges-Johnson
Gordon-Saric or pick?
Ayton-Kaminsky

ORLANDO: Kelly Oubre & Chieck Diallo

If Magic wants to move Isaac at the PF position, they should trade Gordon. Oubre is a good fit with this team as he can score in any given moment. If he brings around 18ppg to this team, the trade is worth it.

Fultz-Augustin or pick?
Fournier-Ross
Oubre-Iwundu-Frazier
Isaac-Aminu-Birch
Vucevic-Bamba-Diallo

You also meant to include Phoenix 2020 1st unprotected right? Otherwise Orlando hangs up laughing.

2.) 12 Apr 2020 04:44:14
And otherwise I’m laughing u think Orlando needs a first😂. Suns should just throw in Oubre and a second or 2.

I have question to ORL fans here. Will you be interested in signing Gallinari to play SF maybe for around 17M per? Not sure of the length. If OKC are willing for a sign & trade involving your 2020 1st (17th pick) plus a couple of contracts that will match (Aminu? Ross?), will they bite? Then Gordon could be sent to get another scorer maybe for Dinwiddie to BKLYN?

Salt Lakers

1.) 11 Apr 2020 19:35:41
Rather flip Fournier if he opts in gland 2021 porotexted pick.

2.) 11 Apr 2020 19:44:12
Why not just send Gordon to OKC for S&T'd Gallo + pick? Assuming Gallo WANTS to sign with Orlando (not seeing that) .

3.) 11 Apr 2020 22:40:18
Yes Fredman, i also think of just flipping Gordon for Gallinari and pick but will ORL do that? I think they can use Gordon to get another piece to compete?

4.) 12 Apr 2020 01:11:03
The question is not really if Orlabdo will do that. The real question with any S&T'd player is do they really WANT to sign and play in Orlando. Not seeing Gallo wanting to joining that crowded (and young? ) roster.

Barrett is only on his first year. There’s still potential right there. He has nothing to learn to with their roster. I say try to get him a mentor (Chris Paul trade? ) and let him develop for another year before deciding what to do with him. Now, if they are trading for a star like Beal or Booker, it’s ok to include him.

Jazz can do better than this but it’s not a bad offer.

That doesn’t interest the Kings. No way does they trade Hield for this value.

Fredman, New Orleans can offer a very good package like Holiday, Hayes, Miller and fillers plus picks for Gobert and Conley but i’m just worried if he fits in with Zion? Maybe yes. But i really like a Brooklyn trade involving Allen, LeVert and picks.
