CHI) Markannen,Carter,Lavine, 2020 1st

PHI) Embid

The Ringer

1.) 01 Mar 2020 16:46:08
take Out carter an put Otto Porter. If u do that then salaries don’t match an phillie has to throw in Richardson. So I’ll put my version to fix yours.

Chicago receives Joel Embiid and josh Richardson
Philadelphia receives: Otto Porter, Zach Lavine, lauri Markannen and 2 first.

2.) 01 Mar 2020 18:56:34
Would chi willing to give up carter, lavine and markkanen? Doubt it, if so phi should at least think about it, makes the roster deaper.

If otto porter would be included then i think phi is willing too dump horford contract. (Maybe 3rd team option) .

3.) 01 Mar 2020 19:50:44
Horford is a natural center which is why they would keep him and he has not much value while Embid does so get more pieces and I think it would maybe make them better with more scoring which is what they need.

4.) 01 Mar 2020 21:00:18
I meant then phi would want to trade Embiid and horford.

NY) A.Gordon,ZLavine, Bamba

ORL) O.Porter,W.Carter, 2020 LAC 1st

CHI) Randle, Knox, Barrett, Robinson, Aminu 2020 1st ORL, 2020 NY swap w/CHI (depending on lottery positioning of course)

The Ringer

1.) 29 Feb 2020 22:11:23
How about Knicks pick top 3 protected 2021 or unprotected 2022.

2.) 29 Feb 2020 22:51:54
The Bulls should take it. White, Barrett, xxx, Markannen, Robinson, would be a good fit. Knox for the Bench and trade Randle for SF.

3.) 29 Feb 2020 23:12:16
Bulls get Barrett Knox Okc, ny and dal 21 23 1st
Suns get Lavine Randle
Knicks get Booker CP3
Okc get Porter Ntilikina Smithjr.

4.) 01 Mar 2020 02:15:24
don't see how this excites Orlando. Carter is nice but redundant with Vuch.

5.) 01 Mar 2020 04:17:03
Orlando getting screwed.

6.) 01 Mar 2020 06:36:22
Trying to figure out how the Knicks are getting the best 2 players in the deal and only add one "bad" draft pick.

PHI: Horford/Richardson-OKC 1st (if it conveys) 2022 1st, 2020 NY 2nd

NOP: Holiday/D.Miller

Pelicans trade Richardson for something, get a guy in Horford to teach and facilitate team ball. Have lots of guards, just need to draft a PG, or trade for a back-up. Maybe even sign one with their projected capspace

Philly Gets some shooting, and a defender in one package and breaks up the obvious dysfunction the sixers are having with chemistry. Without giving away too much. Miller would be a welcome addition if he recovers well, and if he does, would make an excellent deadline trade piece next season if his shooting isn't relied upon already by Philly.

Detractors: Holiday going back to Philly. He seems happy with NOP so far, and they don't seem to be complaining.

The Ringer

1.) 24 Feb 2020 05:38:08
Dear sixers fans you overpaid Horford. He is old and not getting you anything of value back.

2.) 24 Feb 2020 12:58:45
Horford thought he was chasing both cash AND a championship. Looks like he was only half-right.

3.) 24 Feb 2020 18:17:37
Horford would be good with the Jazz too if they could work something out with conley in a trade before the season is officially over, after the playoffs, of course.

4.) 26 Feb 2020 20:46:11
Facilitate team ball? The Pelicans lead the league in assists

5.) 29 Feb 2020 00:52:20
Facilitate team ball? : Yes.

Horford is known as defensive, passing, shooting, big man. Most good passers are commonly referred to as facilitators. And Horford is known as a team guy. I can't be the only who has heard this before?

Didn't make any proclamation Horford would filling a giant hole that exists in N. O. Just commenting on his attributes, and what he brings to the table.

Top Ten Centers:

Embid
Jokic
A.Davis
Porzingis
Tucker/Covington
Towns
Vucevic
Sabonis
Turner
Gobert

The Ringer

1.) 29 Feb 2020 12:20:54
Davis>Embiid and Jokic.

2.) 29 Feb 2020 14:24:47
Davis get tim Duncan comparison. I say he the best big man in league.

3.) 29 Feb 2020 16:10:28
Not sure what parameters you're using to evaluate but if you're allowing a Tucker/ Covington combo you probably should include Gasol/ Ibaka…. Serge is having a career year and Toronto's defense is even better when Gasol has been available. I see 5 names on your list that I'd much rather have Marc/ Serge.

4.) 29 Feb 2020 16:11:20
Didn't want A. Davis on the list of C's because he starts at PF next to Mcgee every game, but folks who don't read box scores call him a center. HOU would definitely play him at C, and also a handful of other teams, so there is precedent (I guess) . He's always had the trad. PF game, and I imagine as he ages he will transition permanently into the C position because he will be too fat, old and slow one day.

5.) 29 Feb 2020 16:19:21
I count AD in the discussion of best center because he doesn’t play enough minutes at it. He’s mostly a PF.

6.) 01 Mar 2020 18:14:19
Houston would want to play him at center, but didn’t he basically tell the Lakers “if you want my buy in long term, put a center next to me and let me start at PF”? He’s like Aldridge, they can play center, but they hate and refuse to do it full time.

AD seems himself at a 4, so that’s what I put him at.

My assumption with Rose signing was for his contacts with agents and the high school kids getting ready to come into the league in 2021.

If Scott Perry, and Mike Miller are canned this summer, I was way off on that assumption.

Wish Oladipo the best and all that, (for real) but I just read he mangled his knee last season even worse than Lamb just did, and that is the explanation of his current play. I had no idea it was that serious.

He could be Brandon Roy injured and it never quite works out for him. Oladipo was a heck of an athlete, and if he lost that burst of speed, and explosiveness he had, acquiring him shouldn't be difficult in 2021. Giannis is another story. Bucks need to lose this year in the playoffs for that window to remain open. They look like the champ this season, and Giannis is on his way to B2B MVP's, plus a finals MVP probably.

I'd probably deal Gordon eventually, but not until I see Okeke in action. Maybe summer league? They really need a SF beyond James Ennis jr. III. Esq.

It's clear Isaac, Gordon, Vucevic is a bad trifecta, they need a shakeup in the chemistry, and Isaac is the clear choice @ PF.

I wouldn't want to deal the pick and Ross too without getting a high level SF in return.

The deal is a little light so far. Add D. Hunter and a 1st to the pile and it starts getting some attention.

Taking the ball out of Trae Youngs' hands is a risky move too. Ingram isn't exactly a spot up 3 and D wing. It woukd be a waste of his skill.

I think Turner is a double-double without Sabonis sharing the front court. Sabonis can't shoot that well so the paint is pretty crowded in Indy most of the time.

Turner like Gordon could benefit from playing in a situation that needs what he has to offer, rather than trying to fit him ito the roster make-up and out of position at times.

Derozan: LAC if they could do something with Harrell, and Lou Williams. And Derozan was willing to accept 15million annually.

Staying with Spurs, working with Keldon Johnson seems plausible too. For a slightly higher amount than the market is offering.

Aldridge: Stays in Texas. Signs with DAL as the back-up to Powell, Porzingis after his deal expires next season.

Whiteside: Turner got 18 from Indy, Capella got 16 from Houston the season before, but I'm not getting the warm fuzzies on the upward salary trend for these guys, so I think whoever comes as close to 12 million wins. He could get as low as 8million but that would surprise me. DET, NY have the coin

Adams: Plays his days of $24million out with OKC and then takes a back-up role for the Sixers. Joins his southern hemisphere pals. I think he's Zealander so he may or may not fit in with the aussies of Philly.

I kind of thought something like this was getting cooked up. Why can't the Knicks just rebuild a little? Always with the cart before the horse thing since Dolan showed up. Develop what's there and what's about to be drafted, use cap space to acquire bad contracts and assets until you have something to build from, and or trade. Is the formula really that hard, or is losing that profitable in a large market?

My first thought is: poor Kevin Knox, my next thought was maybe Knox plays his butt off and forces Melo to the bench. The 6th man reunion tour

You knew Melo would go somewhere for a farewell gimmick tour. He wasn't going to be soaking up development minutes in Portland for very long. Just cross your fingers, pray, and dry out a few wishbones the Knicks don't commit $10 million and to starting him.
