not dissing Beverley but Kyle is the heart and soul of a championship team. like they've already decided where in the rafters his jersey will hang when #7 is retired. Toronto wouldn't even think of doing this trade.

It’s not like Lowry is a horrible defender. He’s pretty solid. And Beverly is not the defender he was (which was never all NBA caliber to me) .
Overall, Lowry>>>>Beverly.

You need to watch the Raptors regularly to appreciate what a strong defender Lowry really is. there is nobody his size in the league that can defend the post against much bigger guys. you see it every night where the ball is dumped in and if lowry is defending they just pass it right back out. that fat ass can't be moved. and to watch him ride a 7 footer out of bounds boxing out is a sight to see. if you counted stats like deflections, poke aways, charges taken and transition layups stymied it would paint a different picture than what you see. he may not be as good man on man as Beverly, but i'd still rather have him in my teams' defense than Beverley. and there's no comparison at all on offense.
