Trading for Batum and drafting Hield would be good, but no Anderson please. We need another big to rotate with Dieng and Towns that can play D and rebound. Garnett will probably retire. How about Festus Ezeli, or Sullinger. Also don't trade Tyus Jones.

Not sure that's the way MIN wants or should go, taking second tier shortcuts.
Rather play and develop LaVine than sign Batum.
Rather draft bender or parker and play them at PF.
If they should try and sign anybody, let it be Barnes on max. Even if he doesn't come they'll put GSW in uncomfertable spot having to match it.
They won't be immediate contenders either way, but this leaves them more options and higher ceiling with time.

Anderson will get more.

Well Lavine isn't a point guard, so there's your first mistake. Why trade for Lawson and then waive him when there are rumors of Peking retiring and while I like Batum, I think the Wolves are looking more for backups and Batum wouldn't like that.

Lawson will be a free agent.

If the Wolves were able to get Batum (but he'll be getting 4 years, starting at $23), I wouldn't be unhappy to see them go after Ryan Anderson, to help with their abysmal three-point shooting. I agree though he is going to get paid something closer to the max.

One point I never hear people talk about with Ty Lawson is that Garnett is not going to agree to bringing in a drunk driver, while his friend Malik Sealy's uniform hangs in the rafters, after he was killed by a drunk driver.

I also agree that local kid Tyus Jones is the type of guy that has more value here than elsewhere.

A plan like this brings a final roster that would start winning some games.
