LAC gets Melo

New York gets Jamal Crawford, Wesley Johnson, Mbah a Moute, Alan Anderson, and a future LAC 1st.

Let's get real here: even though Austin Rivers is average, it would be awkward for Doc to trade his son. In order to make salaries work, it's either Johnson, Mbah a Moute, and Anderson, or Rivers (along with Crawford for both options) . This leaves Doc in a tough position: does he blow up his team's bench just to keep his son while getting Melo, or does he take one for the team and trade his son whilst keeping the majority of his bench?

Business over personal relationships. He would HAVE to move Rivers to get Melo. The Knicks aren't just giving Melo away.
