no way Portland take's on Noah's salary. And no way Portland gives up Harkless and Crabbe.

It's getting panned, but I actually don't hate this trade as long as the Blazers really want Melo. You can slot him right in as the PF next to Nurcic. Sure Noah's contract is terrible, but so are Crabbe and Turner's, and they also don't fit the team all that well. In this case, you're bringing in a player you really want, along with one dead weight contract.

As for the Knicks, you get the big time PG you need, a center who could see the floor, and a guy in Crabbe who's on a terrible contract, but will be able to play for you. That team will fit better around Porzingis, and will probably compete for the playoffs for better or worse.

I like it a lot for Phoenix though. They bring in three solid, if not spectacular, players in exchange for Bledsoe. Could they get something better? Maybe. But I like Turner's playmaking style alongside Booker.

It's the only way to work within salary. If ny is letting melo go it needs to be worth it. I personally see them needing to dump Noah in the deal. Or keep melo and let him walk after season.
