The trade won't work. Leonard Makes 20 million next year alone. The trade has to be at least 75% the contracts involved i believe. The Sixers would have to trade around 15 million back to the spurs and Saric, Fultz and McConnell are only about 13 million. Not to mention Sixers would not move Saric and Fultz both with the first round pick i don't believe.

Aidan, Philly has almost 40 million in capspace this summer. They don't have to match salary, but I don't see this being a good trade for them unless Lebron is signing as well and in that case, they would probably need to throw atleast Bayless into the deal.

Rkenne_16, i think the Sixers will have about 31 to 32 million in cap space. i'm sure that they would be trying for Lebron or Paul George this summer no matter if they traded for Leonard or not. So they would need to match the salary on their end or actually have the Spurs take on up to 25% more in the deal to free up the room to chase Lebron or George after the trade. Max contract for Lebron is 35 million. You are right though. Technically they don't need to take back matching money.
