Wes Matthews will always be a Portland fan favorite, but the blazers have no interest in going either backwards or older. Turner is now leading the bench effectively, and is more valuable than Matthews for the Blazers. The added 1st is a huge overpay.

Not sure the blazers do that. It saves them a lot of money for free agents that never come to Portland.
