With his shooting woes and high salary, I don’t see Lonzo Ball as much of an asset (but then again, I don’t see DeAngelo Russell as much of one either! ) . If he continues to struggle, he’s not worth the money - if he succeeds, then you have to pay him a big contract, off the basis of only one year. Seems like a lose-lose proposition to me.

Because of that valuation, if I was MIN, I wouldn’t trade Covington for the NOP pick alone. Or does your deal mean adding the (likely late) LAL pick as well?

Shrink I did read it wrong. I agree with your assessment. I don't like the trade. GS looks like only team really benefitting.
