Kings can't not trade their 2023 first until draft day because they do not own their 2024 first (going to ATL)

Kings and Hawks can lift the protections. Atl would receive an unprotected 1st and maybe 2 2nds to make this trade happen.

Protections can not be "lifted", they have to be traded per the CBA. Which then leads to why ATL would allow SAC to become a better team and lower the value of the 2024 pick? Look at how Miami made a trade to lift the protections thahey had on their picks.

Or, to make the 2023 first pick available, then the ATL would have to take the 2025 first until protected which would make the 2026 first unavailable to be traded.

Heard Atlanta was looking for shooting / collins rumored availability

Seems like this is a lot to send but Lauri at this point would command a lot

Feel like Jazz might value Collins more than Barnes. Then they get their PG of the future in Davion after Conley retires. Then the picks

Feel like it's a close 0% chance Jazz trade Lauri at this point so I may have answered my own question.
