Now way. How would NYK benefit feom that. Rubio is a decent. Good point guard at best. Not a game changer nor a franchise player. A piece to build with not a piece to build off of. N correct minn don't want love. All else is irrelevant in this trade.

I like the premise of the deal except Minnesota would have no pg by trading both their pick and Rubio. Maybe they include Muhammad and add a future draft pick instead of #5. Love has proven to be a poor fit in CLE so I think melo would be a good upgrade given his rapport with Lebron.

NYK cash in Melo for younger players to add to Porzingis and the future (Rubio, Muhammad and a 2017 first rounder from Minnesota) .

I think Minnesota gains Love who is a much better player than he's shown lately (the expectations and intense scrutiny of the media from joining CLE where he never seemed to fit in really effected his play) although his numbers in Minnesota were inflated as well. He'd be a great compliment to KAT and give the team much needed perimeter shooting. They've been trying to deal Rubio for some time as he wasn't a great fit and with #5 they'll likely have their choice of Murray or Dunn. Love would give a veteran presence that would help the development of the young guys and at only 27 with a old man style game could grow with the team. Given Love's trade value right now I think if CLE decides to deal him the other team is getting a major steal.
