Bulls trade 76ers

Bulls get okafor

76ers get rondo, portis and 2nd round pick.

I thought about that. But not a chance I want rondo. And if I did I would need more young talent that doesn't play pf. Mcdermott at the very least.

Too much for Okafor.

I think people are going a little overboard with the hate for Okafor and similarly styled guys like Monroe. Yes they aren't the prototypical style player for today's game which uses a lot of pick and rolls and 3pt shooting but I think back to the basket interior bigs can still play a supporting role.

Okafor in particular is only 21 and has a very developed post game and has only 1.5 yr in the league and 1 yr in college he can only get better with time and proper coaching. That being said I think Portis is about his value at this point (I don't think Rondo has much if any value at this point and don't see why 76ers would want him since he can't shoot and has a reputation for having an attitude which may not be the type of person you want around impressionable young guys) . Portis I don't think has as much upside as Okafor but he is young and a better fit for the modern bigman as he can stretch the floor to the 3pt line and rebound well.

Fit wise Okafor is pretty bad in Chicago since they don't have that many shooters to space the floor but I think he could be give some solid minutes off the bench at center and is a good piece to have and develop for the future.

Jaw.

I honestly think he needs a new coach. Brett brown knows nothing of how to coach post big men. He certainly can't motivate okafor at all. I believe if okafor played motivated he could be a legit factor for team. Problem is I think he's tired of playing for a losing team. Chicago would be a great fit for him as he's from chicago.

Rondo is a terrible fit in Philly. He's toxic in the locker room, and on a team that isn't in position to win many games that is a recipe for disaster. On top of that he is a pass first point on a team that already has Ben Simmons as the future floor general and desperately needs scorers to surround him. A big ole HELL NO from Philly.
