Cavs Offseason

4-team TRADE
CLE- Demarcus Cousins, D'Angalo Russell, Julius Randle
NOP- Kyrie Irving, Brook Lopez
LAL- Kevin Love, Etan Moore
BRK- Luol Deng, Omir Asik, 2019 1st (NOP top 10 protected)

CLE adds Cousins and depth
NOP gets back a PG to replace Holiday and a C to replace Cousins (who was in last year of deal)
LAL gets Love to attract George after the season
BRK moves Lopez in his last year for a decent scorer in Deng and C to replace in Asik. Also adds a pick

CLE- Paul George
IND- D'Angalo Russell, Tristian Thompson, Julius Randle 2018 CLE 1st (unprotected)

CLE brings in George for one year to give them a boost and try to take down GS.
IND gets back 3 young talents and a pick for a 1 year rental of George (who won't resign with them anyway)

Sign
PG- Chris Paul 3 years $75 (can opt out after 1st)

C- Demarcus Cousins
PF- LeBron James
SF- Paul George
SG- JR Smith
PG- Chris Paul

This team is instantly better than GS. This would be very hard to pull off, but IMO this is the only way CLE has a shot vs GS. Also, LeBron, Cousins, Paul, George are all FA at the end of the year which allows them to still cash in on FA after this year. This gives them all a shot at a ring before cashing in via FA.

The Cavs don't even have cap space after that trade let alone enough to sign Paul.

Cavs can't trade 2018 1st. Already traded this year's and 2019s.
