I think it makes sense for both teams. If Lakers aren't in love with any prospect #4 is a solid place to be since Jackson or Fox would still be available depending on what Celtics do (sounds like Jackson) .

Taking on Deng doesn't hurt a team like the Suns that much but then again the value between #2 and #4 isn't astronomical and cap space does have a lot of value with many teams looking to shed bad deals from last summer.

Allow PHX to send Knight to the Lakers. and it's a deal. So, it's #2 and Deng for #4 and Knight. Lakers still reap about $5m per year in contract values.

Like it. Fox to the Lakers and clear space necessary to sign George next year makes sense.

Suns get Jackson, which is the best fit for them, and have Deng as a veteran presence behind him.
