This is a long shot, but hear me out.

Cavs get Anthony Davis, Demarcus Cousins, and Omer Asik

Pelicans get Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson, Channing Frye, Brooklyn's first round pick, Cavs 2018 first round pick, Cavs 2020 first round pick, and Boston's second round pick

The Pelicans are at risk of losing Cousins in free agency, and if that happens they'll be at a big risk of losing Anthony Davis. In this trade the Pelicans move both of their stars for a coup of draft assets. Shedding Asik's ugly contract while adding Frye's expiring deal is also an incentive, and the team gets an all-star in Kevin Love who's under contract until 2020 to keep the fan base interested during their re-build.

The Cavs go all in on a championship run by assembling the greatest front court of all time. The Cavs sacrifice their future, but it'd be well worth it to add a generational talent like Davis and an elite center in Cousins. LeBron is almost guaranteed to finish his career in Cleveland if this goes down.

i don’t think there’s a single thing the cavs could offer NO that would make them budge on AD.

Cavs already traded 2019 1st, so they have to keep their 2018 and 2020 1sts.

I heard you out, and it is an incredibly awful trade proposal .

The Pels are in no danger of losing Davis, he has years left on his contract.

The only players the Cavs would have had to offer the Pels to possibly move AD are LBJ and Irving before his move to the C's.
