Mavericks - Solomon Hill, Omir Asik, Cheick Diallo, 2018 unprotected first round Pick, 2020 lottery protected first round pick

Pels finally get a wing, solidify their lineup and could possible be the piece to help convince Cousins to stay, they need to go all in, if Cousins goes at least Barnsoon be locked up

Mavs aren't contending anytime soon this year So why not add multiple first round picks for a non all star and build around Smith JR

C - Cousins.

i was thinking about what wing the pels could bring in to really make a difference. barnes was my number 1 choice.
the package looks like a lot but its really just their 1st rounder. i like this trade.

I like this trade, but i think Dallas says no.
They believe they can rebuilt with signing free agents.
And two bad contracts for propably two non lottery picks is a high price.

The Mavs are in a very strange situation. I think this all depends on what Dirk wants. He's as loyal a player as they come, and Cuban reciprocates that loyalty. sometimes to the detriment of the team. If Dirk decides he'd like to chase another ring, I think they would blow it up a bit, and this would be a good start. If he decides he wants to be a one team player, even if he tells them it's OK to rebuild, I think Cuban will try to at least keep a mediocre team around him this season.

If they both decided to make the move though, Barnes is a pretty solid addition for New Orleans. They aren't in a position to move on any real top line players, and his skill set would definitely work within the dynamic of the team. he can fill it up from deep, and can score a number of ways while playing pretty good defense. He doesn't have to try to be "the guy" and can just work on filling his role.
