Knicks/ Grizz

To NYK - Pick 4, Conley, Brooks

To MEM - Zinger, Hardaway, Muniday

Memphis doesn’t move Parsons with this deal, but gets a young stud in Zinger, a quality Wing in Hardaway and an expiring deal in Muniday.

I know i’m going to get lambasted for this one, but I’m ready to move on from Zinger. Yes he’s a super talent, but I’m not convinced that he stays healthy for his whole career, and I’m not sure he wants to be a Knick long term. In moving Zinger, the Knicks effectively get Mamba, who is a big target of theirs, a Star in Conley, and a solid young wing with growth potential.

Let the roasting begin!

Weren't you the same fool who had all the Zinger trades last year? Read the articles-Knicks want Mamba to pair with Zinger! Please stop posting stupid trade scenarios. Knicks are not trading Zinger!

Mitchsam, if the Knicks are interested in moving up to 4, what other package can they build that would interest Memphis? They don't have the expiring contracts to get the Grizzlies out of Parsons and possibly Conley's contracts. That leaves Ntilikina and the 9th pick as the only significant assets they really have to offer. I don't see something built around that netting you the 4th pick in the draft. Would NY be willing to throw in next year's pick? With KP out for the bulk of next year that could easily be a top 5 pick. the Grizzlies think they can compete now. Would they see the 2020 pick as anything more than a sweetener? It's not impossible that they could get something done without KP, but I'm not sure they really have the assets that check all of the Grizzlies boxes and without that I think it would take a deal that overwhelms the Grizzlies on value. If that's the case I'm not sure how the Knicks can find a deal that makes sense for them give where they're at right now.

If Memphis is serious about getting back to the post season, this doesn't make a lot of sense. Porzingis could be out for more than half the season. It's probably a fair offer for porzingis considering how disappointing hardaway and mudiay have been.
