At trade deadline
Thunder get Griffin
Pistons get Schroder, Abrines, Patterson, Singler, and a 2nd or 2

Please read the explination before u start replying.
This is just an idea I doubt this trade happens, but say next year Griffin and the Pistons aren't winning u would have to assume they would want to trade him. He is makeing 32 mil next year and it goes up after that. No team wants that kind of contract if that player isn't helping the team win, and let's be honest Griffin is not really a number 1 go to guy he is a good 2 but not a good solo star. If they did try to trade him because of his contract and injury history I would have to assume they would not get a lot of offers. I know this is not a great package but they get a decent young player and give the Pistons the opportunity to move on from Jackson because he has not been working for them. They also free up a large amount of money.

Thunder do this because they can't sign another all star because of their salary situation, but if they did this they would have Westbrook, George, Griffin, and Adams locked up through 2020-21 to build around with minimum contract role players. Plus Griffin returns home to OKC makes for a good story.

Thunder line up
Westbrook/ Felton/?
Roberson/ Ferguson/ Diallo
George/ TLC/ Nader
Griffin/ Grant/?
Adams/ Noel/?
They don't have much depth sign players at the? Spots to fill out the team, and then build a better bench during the off-season.
Again I don't think this will happen but if it did do y'all think this would be a good or bad move for thunder?

Major cap and spacing issues for the Thunder if this goes through. For the Pistons paying two non-shooting PGs a combined 35m/ y is a daunting prospect.

They already have major cap issues this just gives them another all star to help them get closer to the finals and an upgrade at starting PF. Thunder organization has said they are fine spending a lot of money to stay relevant and they would definitely be relevant.
The Pistons could then trade Jackson and move on from him. He is a lil under rated in my opinion u never hear about him, but he just hasn't worked for the Pistons. Last year Schroder averaged more points, assists, rebounds and a better fg%, Schroder is 4 years younger, and his contract is a lil cheaper. Schroder would be a small upgrade over Jackson. And if thunder can move Melos terrible horrific contract I'm sure Pistons can move jacksons bad contract to a team like the magic or sun's that need a pg, and still get something that will help them.

So the Pistons end up with Jackson and Schroeder?

Gets them closer to the finals? Why they still get swept by golden state save that money try again in 3 years when the warriors are dismantled.

I don’t think the thunder would do this they want to run a super star duo like the rockets with a bunch of role players bc that seemed much Moreno effective.
