I don’t see the Cavs having much interest in Nurkic. He’s a solid center, but he just doesn’t have much upside. Trading Love just to trade him doesn’t make much sense. They need to wait until they can get something of value back. At some point, someone will get desperate. Either a team flailing at the deadline or a team this summer, who loses free agent musical chairs. There options will be trade for Love or throw a ton of money at a guy like D’angelo russell or worse.

Both blazers have been playing well this season, I don’t think this deal could get done w/ o Love playing well post-injury.

I wouldn't trade Nurkic for Love. They're similar quality players (third option on a good team) at this point, but Nurkic makes 1/ 3 of Love's salary. Love's definitely a bit better, but not enough to lose a bargain contract on a solid player.
