Walker is taking the Hornets money. It might not be a full supermax, but it will be more than other teams can offer.

The Celtics don’t have cap space, even if Kyrie walks. They’re well over the soft cap. They can’t make any significant signings.

That package isn’t getting you Davis. You’d need the 9th pick at the least just to move Hayward and Brown isn’t good enough to be paired with some mid to late firsts for Davis.

If Kemba is walking why would the Hornets want to trade there young talent and you didn’t even match salary. The Hornets can’t take on 40 million and give up 8. Also, that’s not getting you Beal. Monk doesn’t have a ton of value right now, Bridges is a good prospect but no where near the headliner of a deal for a star, and that’s a future pick in the late 20s.

Again on the last trade, the Celtics can’t take on 40 million and give up 5 million.
