- get a vet point guard to lead the team while also acquiring some wing depth. The 1st is the deal sweetener as they are losing Gordon

Overpay for Minnesota. Covington has is on one of the best non-rookie contracts in the NBA. They should not be giving up draft picks in this deal.

Curry, Thompson, Covington, Gordon, Green would be a pretty scary small ball lineup.

Covington might be a really good value contract, but he's not that great of a player. He's no where close to as good as Russell. You pay for talent, not for value contracts.

I think I hate this for Orlando. Doesn't seem like enough for Gordon.
